Boley Pearson

Boley Pearson’s 60 Year Award

Boley Pearson was presented his 60 Year Award on March 2, 2009. Mr. Pearson joined the Posse in 1949, served as Sec-Treas. in 1952, as Lieut. in 1959, as Captain in 1961, and received his 50 Year Award in 1999.

As Captain one of his goals was to build a livestock barn at the Posse for the Parker County Livestock Shows, and he was successful with this project. The Posse has always supported our 4H & FFA youth.

This webpage is a tribute to a special Posse Member, Boley Pearson. Boley was presented his 60 Year Award (1949-2009), only the second such award presented by the Posse.

Mr. Pearson has contributed and served the Posse well over the 60 years, including Captain in 1961. It was my privilege and honor to visit with Boley and Evelyn in their home, as he shared with me many memories and these photos.

When he served as Captain he was also President of the M & F State Bank (later the Texas Bank, then Compass Bank) which required much sacrifice, but showed his dedication to the Posse. One of his goals as Captain was to raise enough money from the rodeo to build a new livestock show barn for the youth in our community, which the Posse was successful with his leadership. Boley is a true Weatherford Icon, as he served our country in the Navy during WWII, as a well known and respected business man in the banking and real estate arena, and has done much for the Posse, for Weatherford, and Parker County. He continues to be active in the Posse attending the monthly Meetings, etc. Congratulations and a big thank you to our friend Boley Pearson.
